The stars will shine bright at the Olympia Theater at the Gusman Center for the Performing Arts in Downtown Miami on Saturday, April 28th for Renascentia, a benefit concert for the historic theater. The program brings together local leaders and star-studded talent in an effort to raise funds and awareness for the important Miami landmark. The event featuring Jon Secada, the Spam All-Stars, Robert Elias & The Revenge, Enrique Santos, Jean Carlos Canela, and more is presented by Motivate Miami, a team of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce’s renowned Leadership Miami program. “We are privileged to have this historic theater in our city and we want to make sure that it is able to continue to operate and continue to be a resource for many generations to come,†said Pablo Tamayo, a member of Motivate Miami.
“Through this concert and other efforts, we hope to raise funds and awareness for the theater to ensure that it remains a valuable part of the Miami arts and culture scene.†The goal of this fundraising effort is to obtain a state-of-the-art digital film projector for the Olympia Theater in order to bring it additional capabilities, including the ability to show first run movies, film festivals, and host live events via satellite.
