ALMA Graduate School of the University of Bologna, Italy, will come to Miami for the very first time to present two of their six prestigious international MBA programs: Food and Wine and Design, Fashion and Luxury Goods, and offer full and partial scholarships applications onsite to select candidates from the South Florida area. The presentation, followed by a private cocktail reception will be held on Monday, April 30, 2012, at the renowned Italian showroom, Poltrona Frau, a worldwide symbol of fashion and design, in the hip Miami Design District.

The ALMA Graduate School of the University of Bologna, Italy, offers six specialized international MBA programs on a yearly basis. Two of those programs, Food and Wine and Design, Fashion and Luxury Goods aim to provide an opportunity for specialization and in-depth focus on the gastronomy and enology sector and both traditional and cutting-edge issues in the design, fashion, and luxury goods world, respectively.

The program is open to both Italian and international young professionals. The MBA commencement ceremony in October 2012, will be held at Villa Guastavillani, an astonishing XVI century residence on the foothills of Bologna, a green oasis minutes away from the historical city center.

As the ALMA MBA programs increase in popularity and prestige within the international community, the University of Bologna has endeavored to promote the program worldwide. Miami is one of seven stops of the ALMA Graduate School presentation tour. Other events will be held in Shanghai, Beijing, New York, Vienna, Sao Paulo and Warsaw. The most deserving candidates will be able to participate in these career-forming programs by applying for partial or full scholarships during the promotional events. This initiative is supported by important partner organizations and international companies which believe in the value of the Masters degrees, offering venues, resources, managers and speakers to assist in the success of these events.

The April 30 event will provide potential candidates with relevant information regarding the MBA programs, information regarding the scholarships and a Q&A forum.

Dean and Director of the MBA Food & Wine program, Massimo Bergami will welcome the guests. An esteemed panel will speak, including the Hon. Adolfo Barattolo, Italian Consul General in Miami; Mr. Jose’ de la Torre, Professor and Dean Emeritus at Florida International University; Angel Gallinal, Partner of Egon Zehnder International; Diego Stecchi, Salvatore Ferragamo Sales Director for Latin America and the Caribbean, and Andrea Vicentini, Alumnus of the ALMA MBA Design, Fashion and Luxury Goods, Class of 2010.

Following the presentation, a cocktail reception with Italian delicacies and wine provided by Caprai, will be held on the spectacular showroom terrace overlooking Miami.
