A 15-foot, afro-wearing pink donkey blasting disco-era favorites will strut down South Miami Avenue surprising Mary Brickell Village locals and lunch goers with a glittering sneak peek of the smash hit, The Donkey Show!
Attired in all their theatrical disco finery, performers will leap off “Disco Donkey†and light up Mary Brickell Village with a performance inspired by the hedonistic Studio 54 days, the epic shrine to disco, where lovers of the nightlife would release their inhibitions on the dance floor.
This will mark the public unveiling of the “Disco Donkey,†which will then travel around Miami throughout the summer, giving unsuspecting residents a memorable taste of The Donkey Show.
The Donkey Show is a spectacular pop-up club that blends a crazy circus of disco music hits, go-go dancers, roller skaters, feathered divas and a full active bar — ultimately becoming Miami’s most outrageous party extravaganza! The show, inspired by William Shakespeare’s classic comedy, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, will open on July 13 for a limited engagement on the Adrienne Arsht Center’s Ziff Ballet Opera House stage, which will be transformed into a mirror ball dance floor for guests to live their own fabulous disco fantasy.
