Smokin’ Second Annual “Seminole Hard Rock Rock ‘n’ Roll Beer-B-Que” Presented by New Times Gets Grilling

More than 40 of South Florida’s top barbeque restaurants will compete by showcasing their outdoor grill skills and offering samples to thousands of guests.

In addition to unlimited free samples of tangy, spicy and smoked specialties, complimentary beer will be available from a variety of popular brand favorites and micro-breweries. Participating restaurants and breweries include D Dog House, Mugs, Organic Brewery, Smokey Bones and Tap 42.

Attendees will be encouraged to vote for their favorite barbeque restaurant while they enjoy line dancing lessons from Cowboys Saloon, live music from Rock With U Entertainment and local bands Ghost of Gloria and The New Planets. A panel of local celebrity judges will award prizes for “Best Chicken,” “Best Ribs,” “Best Pork,” “Best Brisket,” “Best Overall” and “Most Unique.” Judges include Karen and Marty Hyde of the Florida BBQ Association, Laine Doss, New Times’ food writer, Chef James Tahhan, Telemundo’s resident chef, and Rosy Cordero of the popular pop culture blog, AccidentalSexiness.com.  One lucky restaurant grill master will be chosen as the “Fan Favorite.”

For true gourmet aficionados, the “Seminole Hard Rock Rock ‘n’ Roll Beer-B-Que” will offer special limited VIP tickets that include seating in an air-conditioned VIP Tent with complimentary wine by Rex Goliath, beer by BX Beer Depot who is crafting a signature brew especially for the event and live entertainment.

Tickets for the “Seminole Hard Rock Rock ‘n’ Roll Beer-B-Que” presented by New Times are $35 each (prepaid online at www.seminoleparadise.com/beerbque ) or $45 at the door. A limited number of prepaid VIP tickets will be available for $70 and offer one-hour early admission.
