Miami Offroad Club gearing up for the first annual “Dirty Rally†to raise funds to bring clean drinking water to developing countries.
The members of the Miami Offroad Club (MOC) own 4×4 vehicles that are often covered in mud. The club members are putting their dirty jeeps to good use as they organize a fundraiser to bring clean, safe drinking water to people in developing countries. The MOC is organizing the 1st Annual Dirty Rally. MOC members are driving from Miami to Key West on August 11, 2012. MOC is inviting all Jeep lovers and 4×4 clubs to join them on the charity ride. The rally fee is $30 for single riders and $40 for multiple riders. One hundred percent (100%) of the donations directly fund the clean water projects in developing nations.
Did you know that 800 million people on the planet don’t have access to clean drinking water? Unsafe water and lack of basic sanitation kill more people every year than all forms of violence, including war. The MOC is doing their part to change that and you can help by joining the rally on August 11, 2012 or donating to the fundraiser. All donations are welcome and every little bit helps. Riders in the Miami area will meet on August 11, 2012 at 7:10am at 1200 Biscayne Blvd in Miami, FL. There will be a second meet-up location in Florida City at 8:10am for all riders that live further south. The full group will start the adventure from there. Riders are encouraged to make their own hotel arrangements in Key West, reminded to bring their two-way radios, asked to get gas prior to the Miami meet-up, expected to obey all traffic laws, and prepare to have a fun adventure. There will be plenty of opportunity to take amazing pictures along the way, meet new friends, have fun, and help an important cause!
