Downtown, as the nucleus of every city, represents in this exhibition, the creative process that is born right in the heart, to become an artist’s biography. Cuban painter and sculptor from Instituto Superior de Arte (ISA)- Havana, Rigoberto Rosales Jalil and Colombian Miami-resident metal sculptor Sandra Garcia-Pardo, narrate the constant activity of their heart beats portraying a series of reflections involving their own lives. Rosales Jalil brings a series of inks with ironic characters and funny situations with different degrees of seriousness, and also mythic planes that land on an aircraft carrier, while he says “I came from Cuba on one of thoseâ€. Garcia-Pardo shows, for first time, the phase I of “Little Secrets-My Darkest Sideâ€, a new series of small sculptures with unmentionable names that are, definitely, part of her latest confession.
