About Eleazar Delgado:
Born in Oklahoma and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, Eleazar Delgado studied architecture and interior design at the Universidad Central de Venezuela, and there is where he began his architectural explorations. During the 1980’s, Delgado fell in the love with Miami’s vivid colors and its native surroundings and it was the radiant sunshine and the gleaming colors of the night that influenced his choice to paint the story of Miami through the “Behind the Lights” collection. Delgado’s vibrant and colorful perspective on the city’s founders and leaders, like Henry Flagler and Julia Tuttle, and his interpretation of historical events, such as Billie Holiday’s performance at The Lyric in Overtown, have earned him much acclaim throughout Miami’s art circles. As a result, his artwork and vision have generated features in The Miami Herald, Plum TV, CNN Español, Social Miami, Miami Magazine, Miami Art Guide, Art Circuits, Ocean Drive, Brickell Magazine and 944, among others.
