The Alliance Theatre Lab is proud to be presenting Home Sweet Funeral Home, a collection of original ten-minute plays, pulling from over a dozen South Florida talents. Playwrights are Andie Arthur, Mark Della Ventura, Christopher Demos-Brown, Tony Finstrom, Alexandria Iona, Marjorie O’Neill-Butler, Mariah Reed and David Michael Sirois.
“The inspiration for this project came from A. R. Gurney’s ‘The Dining Room’ mixed with a little 48-Hour Film Festival. Eight ten-minute plays all sharing the same set, which is a funeral home. On top of that, each playwright was given a line of dialogue and prop, both of which must be incorporated into the play,†says Della Ventura.
Directed by Mark Della Ventura and David Michael Sirois; starring Anne Chamberlain, Mark Della Ventura, Rayner Garranchan, Alexandria Iona, David Sirois, Natasha Waisfeld, Breeza Zeller; and Barry University students, Jovon Jacobs and Stephanie Meskauskas.
