From Directors, Actors, Actresses, Makeup Artists, Publicists, Magazines, TV Shows, TV Hosts, Celebrities, Chefs, Socialites and over 50 press members attending and already confirmed. Recognizes and honors the wealth of talent in our state pursuing excellence in their craft. A non-profit organization by and for individuals in the Fine, Performing, and Culinary Arts. Our purpose is to promote and offer valuable exposure to those working in the Visual Arts, Media, Music, Theater, and Dance. As well as Filmmakers, Poets, Casting Directors, Fashion Designers, Screenwriters, and Literature Artists.
This is the third year the Organization is honoring the local talent. We usually have up to 450 people at each event. We offer Appetizers and Champagne to our guests. Our venue of choice for this year’s occasion is the Privet. The goal of WITA Miami is to raise the visibility of local professional talent and encourage increased production of television, film and stage projects in Florida as well as to become a valuable network resource for aspiring creative professionals. This year we are also honoring 5 amazing Humanitarians that strive to make a difference in our community Kimberly Shenker Bacardi, Attorney William Kennedy, Bill Malelish, William Chacon, and Maritza Bedoya. They are making a big difference in our community and our lives daily.
Honoring: Sofia Vergara will be receiving The Icon Award for her Achievements in her solid and long lasting career and opening more doors to Latin women in the entertainment industry. We also have a surprise celebrity guest attending. Also honoring Miami’s Iconic Women: Athina Kiloumi, Mercedes Soler, Lynn Martinez, Adriana Catano, Diana Laura, Ellen Jacoby, Veronica Vergara, Viviana Gabeiras Sonya Smith and Alexis Echevarria.
All nominees will receive an achievement award and general public decides the best of each category via votes through the organization’s website.
