Bass Museum of Art will host its monthly, first-Friday soiree, Beats After Sunset, on Friday, Oct. 5, 2012, from 8 to 11 p.m., with a special screening of the new Beats After Sunset promotional video by B.E.S films. Guests will enjoy complimentary cocktails by Grey Goose and beats by DJ Josef K while browsing works from current exhibitions, including “UNNATURAL,” “John Cage: Variations VII, 1966” and the Egyptian Gallery. For the first time, Bass Museum of Art will partner with a nonprofit organization. This month’s collaboration will benefit the Humane Society of Greater Miami’s young professionals group, PetNet.
 
Complimentary admission for members and basspass holders; $10 museum admission for non-members.
 
Chalk Ping Pong and Billiards Lounge, located at 1234 Washington Ave., will host an after-party from 11 p.m. to midnight, at which time Beats guests are invited to enjoy one complimentary beverage and ping pong.
