The remarkable photographs of Carlos Manuel Cárdenes in this exhibition combine the best elements of the styles current from the 1960’s until the present.
From stirring portraits to captured moments in history to sublime landscapes, these works astound, intrigue, and mystify. They have a poetic quality that invites highly personal interpretations making viewers see the world anew.
What makes a photographic masterpiece? It might be a perfectly balanced still life, bathed in natural light. It might be a stirring portrait or a captured moment of history or a sublime landscape. The photographs in this exhibition share a special, intangible quality that sets them apart from others.
