Casuso is a Cuban-American artist based in Miami.
With its origins in mainstream craft, his work involves
a deliberate shift from decorative home-based crafts to
conceptual works of art. His medium is a combination
of products, fiber and thrift store goods, handled in a
nostalgic way that shows layers of labor, representing
the ephemeral nature of our lives and the transitory
nature of value.
Location: Broward North Regional Library, Room 154 (Auditorium)
1000 Coconut Creek Blvd. Coconut Creek, FL 33066
This lecture is part of a series, presented by Broward College North Campus Fine Arts department and Student Life.
