Miami Beach Restaurant Supports Local Artist/Hospitality Professional in His Inaugural Photography Exposition
Pubbelly, Miami Beach’s favorite locals-centric gastropub, will host their first-ever photography exposition, in-restaurant, during the month of December. Beginning December 4, just in time for Art Basel and carrying on through the end of the month, the exposition, entitled Juice of the Gods will feature the work of Miami local, friend and fellow hospitality professional Luke Mathot.
A wine aficionado and avid photographer, Mathot, who is currently the Food and Beverage Director at the new SLS South Beach has based his exposition on images captured at various wineries he has visited throughout the world, including regions in France, Spain and Italy, as well as Oregon and California, among others.
Ranging from close ups of gorgeous grapes growing on the vine or a winemakers hands holding smashed fruit, to rows and rows of wine bottles or intriguing angles of aging barrels, Mathot’s images evoke feelings of warmth and celebration with Old World charm, and are ideal for any bar, eating or gathering space.
“We are thrilled to host this exposition with Luke’s photography,†says Andreas Schreiner, owner of Pubbelly. “His images are gorgeous and he is a great friend, but most importantly, we want to support the local arts community, as well as a fellow hospitality professional.â€
All of the art work will be for sale direct through the artist, and if all goes well, Schreiner plans to continue to host different expositions of local artists on a quarterly basis.
