The pleasure of your company is requested at the fourth annual Miami International Art Fair (MIA), January 17-21, 2013. Located in Miami’s premiere downtown Art & Entertainment District, MIA will bring together international and emerging artists to the waterfront scene for a five day extravaganza of art and culture.

In addition, MIA will present Sculpture Miami exhibition in Bayfront Park featuring large scale sculptures by major international sculptors.

MIA 2013 will be held aboard SeaFair, a 228-foot megayacht exhibition venue, complete with 28 gallery exhibition spaces, sky deck bar & bistro, cocktail lounges, and a continuous program of artist receptions. This visionary vessel – which will remain dockside during the event – will be conveniently located at the Intercontinental Hotel Dock at 100 Chopin Plaza, downtown Miami, adjacent to Bayfront Park.

The Fair will commence with a private preview, January 17th from 6 – 8 pm to honor the members of the MOCA Shakers. The preview evening will continue with a Collectors’ Invitational from 8 – 10 pm for additional distinguished collectors and VIP guests.

Friday, January 18 | Show Hours Noon – 10 pm
12:30-2pm VIP Talk and Tour | Join us in the VIP Collectors’ Lounge for specialty drink offers and a presentation by Captains Craig Matthews and Sam Carroll about the history of SeaFair, its construction, behind the scenes exclusive looks, and some of their favorite stories from life aboard one of America’s largest private yachts owned by collectors Lee Ann & David Lester, founders of Art Miami.
6-10pm Sip and Saunter Wine Tasting | Enjoy an evening of art and a wine tasting tour throughout the ship. Specially priced, unique wines by the glass.
7-8:30pm California Wine Tasting | Presented by Stefano Campanini, Owner of Wine by the Bay. (By separate ticket: $100pp)

1-2pm Meet the Artist: Nicky Taylor | Presented by Christopher Walker Art, London
2:30-3:30pm “New Light” presented by artist Stephen Knapp | Stephen Knapp has been creating art for over thirty years that interacts with and is transformed by light. Combining art and science, Knapp creates innovative and engaging works that are formed at the intersection of painting, sculpture, and architecture. Dispensing with traditional media and narrative content, Knapp’s “lightpaintings,” a word he coined to describe his light-based installations, are both innovative and invigorating, transposing artistic tradition into the hyper-stimulated world of the twenty-first century.
4-5pm “Living with Art” | Presented by Monica Suleski, Designer and Principal of Eclectic Elements, Art & Design Gallery, Coral Gables.Suleski will discuss the importance of design in creating a space’s energy and how the energy of a given space affects the people inhabiting it.
7-8:30pm Tuscany Wine Tasting | Presented by Stefano Campanini, Owner of Wine by the Bay. (By separate ticket: $100pp)

1-2pm Meet the Artist: Javier Bohorquez |  presented by Christopher Walker Art, London
2:30-3:30pm On Collecting 21st Century New Art | presented by David Setford, curator, museum director, writer and art advisor. Setford will discuss collecting new art of the 21st century.
5:30-7pm French Wine Tasting | presented by Stefano Campanini, Owner of Wine by the Bay. (By separate ticket: $100pp)
