San Francisco-based artist and Visiting Resident, Alison Pebworth presents her ongoing research project and exhibition investigating what it means to be American. Beautiful Possibility consists of a series of hand painted canvas banners, a tour map, and a survey station. A rare Elixir Tasting, serving as an ingestible travelogue will be offered from the Beautiful Possibility communal drinking vessel at 8:30 pm.
Taking the nineteenth-century American traveling show as inspiration, the project launched from Southern Exposure in San Francisco in March 2010 and toured from California to South Dakota in the seven months that followed. A second tour commenced in April 2012, picking up where it left off, now arriving in Miami.
