The Hangar Gallery, Wynwood will host local photographer, Anthony Jordon, Jr.‘s exhibition “Living & Loving 2: A Continued Celebration of Life”. This exhibit is a follow up tribute to Anthony’s solo show “Living & Loving: Celebrating our Comfort”, which raised funds for the 2010 Miami AIDSWalk.
A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the photos will be donated to Care Resources to fund their efforts in continuing their existing programs in support of HIV/AIDS outreach in South Florida.
Additionally, The Hangar Gallery has also offered to donate 10% of any purchases made on the evening of the exhibition.
As a self taught photographer, Anthony Jordon’s vision is to continually see what can be shot and shown through his lens for everyone’s enjoyment, not just his own.
He’s been shooting for several years throughout Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties.
Benefiting AIDSWalk Miami with this show, Anthony has also provided various photographic works to support other local non-profits and national charities such as Care Resource, the Susan G. Koman Race for the Cure, and the Florida Breast Cancer Foundation.
Anthony’s works have earned him numerous recognitions such as:
1st place-Zone 3 during 2009′s Sleepless Nights photomarathon;
1st Place in the People Category of the Carnival Cruise Lines 2010 photo contest;
Featured Photographer and Best Black & White Photo of Best Photo Yet’s blog in September-October 2010.
Anthony was also recently chosen as an Instagram Ambassador and to provide social media content for Scope Miami and the Heineken Mural Project, both during Art Basel 2012.
