Taste Of The Nation South Florida Is Ready To Roll
Share Our Strength, the country’s leading anti-hunger organization and producer of the highly respected annual nationwide culinary benefit, Taste of the Nation, dedicated to raising funds and awareness for the fight to end childhood hunger across America, is getting ready to roll. Now called Taste of the Nation South Florida and bigger than ever, this year the region’s premier culinary benefit is showcasing more than 50 fabulous restaurants from both Dade and Broward counties, the finest wines and spirits, and an impressive array of auction items. The much-anticipated event will take place Thursday, July 25, 2013, 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m., in the spacious main ballroom of the Loews Miami Beach Hotel. Tickets, priced at $125 per person as well as VIP tickets priced at $250 per person and providing access to the event an hour before the doors open, are available at: www.tasteofthenation.org. One hundred percent of ticket sales go to Share Our Strength to fight childhood hunger.
“For the past 25 years Share Our Strength hosted two events in the region, Taste of the Nation Dade and Taste of the Nation Broward. Now Taste of the Nation supporters will be able to enjoy the best food and wine offerings from both counties at a larger event, for the price of one ticket,†notes Jamie Balhon, Southeast Regional Manager of Share Our Strength’s culinary events.
“This year’s event is creating a lot of excitement. Taste of the Nation South Florida is providing a much stronger platform for sponsors and is already generating a larger group of participating restaurants,†says the event’s Restaurant Chair, Chef Timon Baloo, of SUGARCANE raw bar grill, in Miami.
“We believe this year’s Taste of the Nation South Florida will attract not just more restaurant participants but a larger group of food and wine enthusiasts, and will continue to grow and flourish, which bodes well for raising the critical funds required to end childhood hunger in Dade and Broward counties,†says long-time Taste of the Nation Miami-Dade chairman, Chef Allen Susser, of Burger Bar and Chef Allen’s To-Go, in Miami.
