Tickets for the Festival are $45.00 in Advance and $55.00 day of show for General Admission; $55.00 Advance and $65.00 day of show for Reserved Seats; and $25.00 General Admission and $35.00 Reserved Seat tickets for Students.  There is also a limited number of VIP tickets available that include special features and entrance to the exclusive after party with the musicians.  Tickets are on sale now at LiveNation.com or charge by phone 800-745-3000 and at the Fillmore Box Office during normal business hours (Mon. – Fri., 11AM – 6PM and during show days).
 
Special Pop-Up Performances Begin This Week At Bloomingdale’s!
Opening Act Competition Open To Local Student Jazz Bands!
 
The first ever Miami Beach Jazz Festival is now scheduled to be held Saturday, November 16th/ 6PM at the intimate Fillmore Miami Beach at the Jackie Gleason Theatre.  And to kick off the announcement, special “Pop-Up Performances” of local jazz artists will be held in Bloomingdales stores throughout South Florida.  Additionally local student bands and musicians have from now through September 30th to sign up for a competition that will give them the opening slot at the Festival itself.  The full Line-up for the Festival will be announced soon.
 
The Miami Beach Jazz Festival is the brainchild of event founder and producer, Carmen J. Cartiglia. "There are many music festivals that call themselves ‘Jazz’ events, but are all too often watered down with other types of music" says Mr. Cartiglia. “The Miami Beach Jazz Festival will be going back to the basics and will bring in some exceptional true jazz artists from around the world. This will be a REAL jazz festival with the very best musicians the jazz world has to offer coming together with those from our own back yard to create an experience not to be missed!”
 
The Bloomingdale’s stores “Pop-Up Performances” are scheduled for:
Thursday, September 12th / 6PM in Aventura
Thursday, September 19th / 1PM in Boca Raton
Saturday, September 21st / 3PM at the Falls in Miami
        
From now through September 30th, student musicians and bands from all over South Florida will be able to apply for a competition that could lead them to be chosen as the opening act for the Festival.  Applications are available at the website: www.miamibeachjazz.com.  Each student who enters will be given a ticket to the Festival as well as a free pass to the series of three master classes being taught by some of the featured artists at the Betsy Hotel on Ocean Drive in Miami Beach during the week prior to the Festival.
