Opening our 7th season, Natacha Diels (flute) and Bryan Jacobs (guitar) present solo and duo instrument and vocal works from NYC composers Jessie Marino, Andrew Greenwald, and Jacobs. Diels performs the noisy and vivacious Block.flt(remix) (Greenwald 2010) and the world premiere of Marino’s spastic witford Brimley and his Robot Dog seize Burger King in a Bloodless Coup. Jacobs continues with performances of his equally schizoid Trigger-guitar and Trigger-voice, and Diels joins in to end the show with a performance of Jacobs’ ebullient Syncro-vox and Other Cheap Animation Techniques.
