BrazilFoundation, a nonprofit organization that raises funds to support social projects in Brazil, will hold its third annual gala in Miami on March 15, 2014 at the new Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM), Miami’s state-of-the-art, sustainable museum designed by Herzog & de Meuron. Sponsored by American Airlines, Artefacto, Audemars Piguet, St. Regis Bal Harbour, and Credit Agricole, the evening will honor influential social investors and bring together more than 450 leaders from the worlds of business, diplomacy, academia, fashion and art to generate resources for the community-led initiatives funded by the BrazilFoundation.
The evening will feature a performance by Miami City Ballet and Quabales, a social project started by Brazilian performer, Marivaldo dos Santos. Honorees include Executive Coordinator of CEPFS José Dias Campos and Ayrton Senna Institute’s Paula Senna. Brazilian mega star Ivete Sangalo will receive the Global Brazilian Award in celebration of her twenty year music career, and Miami City Ballet School Director Darleen Callaghan will accept the International Philanthropy Award.
