Strut your stuff at Miami Lighthouse’s seventh annual Walk, Waggle & Stroll Dog Walk, an exciting St. Patrick’s day themed dog walk dedicated to raising awareness for dog guides and service dogs of all kinds at the Shops at Midtown Miami. This year’s grand prize winner for most participant pledges collected will receive a Romero Britto signed Azul dog sculpture.
The walk will include dog guides, other service animals and regular pet companions, on a walk to pledge support for Miami Lighthouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired. This year’s event is hosted by Honorary ‘Dog’nitaries†Miami-Dade County Commissioner Sally A. Heyman, NBC 6’s Chief Meteorologist John Morales and Honoree World Renowned Pop Artist Romero Britto.
De‘tails’ include: Breakfast sponsored by McDonald’s at 9:00 am; the dog walk at 9:30 am followed by contest prizes for “Best St. Patrick’s Day Dog Costume†(remember to wear green!), “Dog-Owner Look-alike†and “Most Talented Dog†contests. Free parking is available in the PetSmart garage; on-site registration is $30, which includes a Britto “Azul†dog walk t-shirt and doggy bandana; the fee is waived for visually impaired walkers.
