HistoryMiami is hosting the second event in its series, a panel discussion with some of South Florida’s greatest civil rights pioneers at South Dade Regional Library. Moderated by Bea Hines, the first African-American woman on Miami Herald’s reporting staff, the panel will also include H.T. Smith, Florida International University Law professor, and Garth Reeves, founder of Miami’s oldest and largest black newspaper, The Miami Times.
