As you may have heard, SAVE and the ACLU of Florida have announced the filing of a groundbreaking lawsuit on behalf of eight married couples to secure recognition from the state of Florida for same-sex marriages performed out-of-state.
A pro-equality ruling would grant gay couples married in states that perform same-sex marriages access to many rights and benefits that Florida grants to opposite-sex married couples, such as Social Security survivor benefits and the right to include your spouse on your health insurance policy.
