Highly-Anticipated Spoken Soul Festival Goes Global, Popular Miami-Based Women’s Arts Event Premieres Worldwide Via Web This Year
In 2014 the SWAN Spoken Soul Showcase will be held at a unique location – cyberspace. To celebrate its seventh year and immense growth, SSF has prepared a full-on global assault and is taking the Showcase worldwide for the very first time. With the launch of Spoken Soul TV on the Festival’s website, the performances of this year’s SSF featured artists, including two DJs, an MC, three poets, a harp player, and three vocalists, as well as the works of the featured photographers, filmmakers, and visual artists, will be broadcasted to a bigger audience than ever before through a live, online broadcast. And Spoken Soul TV won’t stop there – you can continue to watch other SSF alumni events all year round, including interviews and panel discussions on marketing and other topics helpful to women artists around the world. The enhanced website will also offer several new features, including SSF Featured Artists, an archive of all the female artists who have participated in years past; the SWAN Sister Series, where SSF alumni can post about upcoming exhibits and events; the Spoken Soul Blog, an interactive space where artists, alumni, partners, and sponsors will be able to share exciting news; and Spoken Soul Radio, playing featured SSF singers and DJs. The SWAN Spoken Soul Showcase Vol. 7: SWAN Day Miami, will be an unparalleled and truly HER-storic event – a live arts festival that the entire world can attend.
