Venus Rising: Women’s Drum & Dance Ensemble invites you to “Stir Your Soul!” at the Duncan Conference Center in Delray Beach on Sunday, March 30, 2014, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own drums and rattles and participate in the festivities. The event is being organized by certified Yoga instructor / licensed massage therapist Kim Hough. Tickets are $25 in advance and $35 the day of and available online here: http://bit.ly/1dUkbE3.

“We are excited to be partnering up with Kim for this wonderful event and are looking forward to sharing the joy we generate when we drum and dance,” says troupe founder and leader Zeva Soroker. “Our troupe understands the power that music and dance have to touch the soul and enjoys sharing this energy with our audiences.” The Connecticut native Soroker began playing drums in Jamaica and has taught African drumming to children; she is currently an instructor at the The Goddess Store in Hollywood and Nest of Living Arts in Miramar.

“Stir Your Soul!” is being billed as an uplifting community gathering featuring Hough, Venus Rising, spiritual leader Marc Labowitz and the TAO musicians and Henry Lepler on crystal bowls who will lead event-goers in a drum circle, songs, dance, meditation and sound healing to celebrate life, connection and peace. The afternoon promises to be eclectic and electric.
