Johnson & Wales University’s North Miami Campus Hosts Distinguished Visiting Chef Dinner with Richard Ingraham, Personal Chef to NBA Superstar Dwyane Wade

Guests are invited to a delectable meal filled with culinary inspiration from Chef Ingraham. The menu will include hors d’oeuvres such as short rib deviled eggs, onion jam and crispy shallots; double stuffed mushrooms; and conch salad shooters. The main course will feature a four course meal with wine pairing. The first course will include a heirloom tomato and watermelon caprese salad. The second course will include mutton snapper, sweet rice, grits, brussels and saffron vanilla sauce. The third course will include seared scallops, parsnip puree, and sweet pea apple compote. The dessert will be a chocolate toffee bread pudding, en croute with Kahlua mousse and chocolate herb sauce.
A $2,000 scholarship will be awarded to a student from the university’s College of Culinary Arts. The dinner is open to the public at $85 per person. Seats are limited. RSVP to 305-892-7578.
Chef Richard Ingraham was born and raised in Miami. He trained at the Art Institute of Atlanta. A few years later, he was offered what is now his current position as Private Chef for the Miami Heat’s Dwyane Wade. His world-class training, recognitions, and passion for fine cuisine and spirits has allowed him to create a network of private chefs called ChefRLI, LLC that serves a plethora of NBA, NFL, MLB, and entertainment personalities, as well as corporate clients across the country. Chef Ingraham has also joined JWU alumna Michelle Bernstein and Michael Schwartz in First Lady Michelle Obama’s Chefs Move 2 Schools White House Initiative to encourage healthier eating habits among our country’s youth. In 2013, ChefRLI combined efforts with Beyond the Boroughs Scholarship Fund Founder and NFL Vet Tutan Reyes to provide healthier eating options to kids in New York City.
