Cost: $25 for adults, $18 for seniors 65 and up, and $12 for children 6-17. Free for Fairchild members and children 5 and under.

Fast-growing and eco-friendly, bamboo is one of the best plants to integrate into landscaping. The American Bamboo Society Plant Sale, organized by the Caribbean Chapter, will showcase the best varieties of tropical bamboo perfect for South Florida. Clumping bamboo is non-invasive, easy to care for, and grows well in a subtropical climate. It adds an eco-friendly touch to gardens and provides privacy, shade, and sound barriers. An assortment of bamboo will be available for purchase at the sale held at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden in the Garden House on Saturday, June 14 – Sunday, June 15 from 9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
