What is the Miami Arts Brigade?
We are mirroring the strengths of a Hacking Brigade, which builds participatory power in cities by holding civic hack events and advocacy campaigns with the goal of furthering the global civic collaboration movement. Based on the success of hacking brigades we are channeling the same sort of comradery and collaboration to bring awareness to the arts on Give Miami Day, November 20, 2014.
Our Goal:
Supercharge visibility for arts and cultural organizations on Give Miami Day. Through partnering tech, business and the cultural community, we are engaging the power of social media to showcase local arts organizations that are participating in the 2014 Give Miami Day. Through this concerted effort we seek to amplify cultural awareness, support for the arts, foster a connected community and actualize cross-pollination of industries.
We are spearheading the first social media arts collation for Give Miami Day! We are bringing communities together in an opportunity to bring about meaningful conversations showcasing the arts.
