Featured speaker Mona Golabek is the founder and president of the nonprofit organization Hold On to Your Music. A Grammy-nominated concert pianist, she was taught piano by her mother, Lisa Jura, who along with Lisa’s mother, Malka, is the subject of Mona’s book, The Children of Willesden Lane. The book tells the story of Lisa’s flight from Vienna to safety in England on a Kindertransport and her courageous journey to fulfill her dream of becoming a pianist.
