“ARTISTically Fashioned” Art Basel Celebration
Due to overwhelming response and success of last year’s event, “ARTISTically Fashioned” Art Basel Celebration is returning to the heart of Midtown Miami during the most prestigious and internationally known art celebration in Miami, ART BASEL 2014. With art invading fashion; on December 5th and 6th, 2014, ARTISTically Fashioned! will be of avant garde, abstracted by bright colors and hip fashion. Artistic expressions created through art and reflected by fashion.
Come enjoy a 6,000 square feet boutique enhanced with a live showroom experience. Models posed and styled LIVE while artists posted in various areas painting LIVE. The celebration will take place inside The Alessandra Gold Concept Store; four walls filled with the concepts of Alessandra Gold. A collaborative space featuring both Gold’s house label, her KruZin shoe label, vintage finds and an international assortment of designers- not to mention a full photo studio adjacent to the shoe section.

Goddess Fashion Factory local designer Loreal Banks will be on site sewing special “Artistically Fashioned” limited edition original clutches.
Eco Fashion + Eco Art = “Atizana Inspired” – made from recycled oil drums and hand painted with tropical love from Haiti.
These beautiful pieces from sculptures to accessories will be at ARTISTically Fashioned! this year!
Fiber artist, Constance BLACKMON Lee explores the relationship and combination of conventional everyday materials and unconventional materials found in nature. Bringing these together using traditional processes such as loom weaving, crocheting and coiling basketry, produces opportunities to re-purpose and re-use several materials into exciting art adventures. Her goal is to transcend the objects expected life-cycle into unexpected and interesting “art-infused longevity”.

Go Green Fashionista joins Miami creative initiative MGKAT presents #IHAITIBASEL, an arts showcase and interactive project with digital and physical components, set to debut in Little Haiti during Miami Art Week. MGKAT hopes to support, connect, and contribute to the neighborhood’s already-existing creative community. Events will include performances by local artists, as well as Zebra Katz and Richard Kennedy of Hercules and Love Affair, among others.
In its simplest form, #IHAITIBASEL is an interactive map, linking visitors to local businesses, artist-run spaces, and commercial galleries in the neighborhood. Available online and mobile-friendly, the #IHAITIBASEL map is an open forum. This interactive resource center and archive can be found on the website, www.ihaitibasel.com, officially launching December 1.
The project’s physical extension will take place at Headquarters, the Little Haiti Thrift & Gift Store, and Cheetah’s Lounge, a secret space. MGKAT’s residence at the store is a collaborative affair, initially suggested by Schiller and Myrlande Sanon-Jules, longtime neighborhood residents and the store’s managers. 8pm-10pm, Fashion show by jewelry designer Deon Rubi, in collaboration with Myrlande of the Little Haiti Thrift & Gift Store.
10pm, A performance by Richard Kennedy of Hercules and Love Affair.
11:30pm, A rara band procession leading guests from the shop to the #IHAITIBASEL Headquarters.
Strangeways and Packet will release two special edition #IHAITIBASEL magazines, available at the store.

10am – 6pm, A photo exhibition at Maggie Knox Gallery featuring the work of both local and non local artists. Proceeds from the gallery will be donated to the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center.
