Bridge the Dutch Pavilion, a collaborative project featuring world class Dutch and International artists, is returning to Art Basel for its second year. The exhibit located in the Miami Design District runs from Tuesday, December 2 – Sunday, December 7, 2014. Bridge is working directly with the Consulate General of the Netherlands in New York to produce a “satellite fair†that highlights the cultural collaborations and contributions of the Dutch during Art Basel Miami 2014.
The works chosen for this exhibition invite the viewer to explore the parallels between Art and Design by intentionally blurring the lines between the two. This unique display presents work by Dutch and International contemporary artists and designers in the field of graphic design and fine arts. A collaborative project in nature, Kallenbach Gallery and Andenken, two of the most respected galleries in the Netherlands provided curatorial support. This satellite art fair is produced by Catapult [13], a Miami-based design firm. Bridge continues to showcase the extensive art and design talent of the Netherlands.
On Thursday, December 4, 2014 from 7pm-11pm a culmination of the collaborative work of the Dutch artists and their peers will be celebrated at the exhibition in the Design District. In true celebratory form, the evening will feature a DJ, libations and an artful-minded community.
In addition to the exhibition, two mural will be featured in Wynwood at 2045 NW 1st Avenue and 121 NW 24th Street.
