Kodner Galleries, South Florida’s leading auctioneer and appraiser of fine art,
antiques, jewelry and collectables will host its Holiday Auction offering
arguably the world’s largest collection of 19th and 20th century continental
painted porcelain plaques. The lifetime collection from Central Florida includes notable pieces such as a monumental Royal Vienna charger depicting Christopher Columbus; a large 19th /20th century KPM plaque of Hagar and Ishmael Banished from the House of Abraham; a very fine late 19th century German carved and giltwood cabinet mounted with Vienna enamels and Meissen porcelain; numerous plaques signed J. Wagner and a fine French gilt bronze and onyx gueridon mounted with Sevres portrait plaques of Louis XV and the ladies of his court. Additionally, there are many examples of 19th/20th century continental paintings and a very fine 19th century French gilt bronze mounted Carrera marble clock and garniture.
The auction will also include a spectacular collection of fine estate jewelry, which would serve as exquisite gifts for that special someone this holiday season. Among the collection is a 18 karat yellow gold ring with a 15mm South Sea pearl, 5.50 carat round brilliant cut diamond, and onyx; a 4.0 carat round brilliant-cut diamond and platinum engagement ring; a pair of finest quality handmade 8.0 carat Columbian Sugar Loaf Cabochon Emerald earrings with 10.0 carat Marquise and round brilliant-cut diamonds on 18 karat white cold ear clips; a GIA certified 10.04 carat cushion-cut brownish-yellow diamond ring surrounded by 1.20 carat round brilliant-cut diamonds; and a beautiful single strand of graduated 15.0 mm to 19.0mm South Sea pearl necklace accented with 5.0 carat brilliant-cut diamonds and set in 18 karat white gold.
