Now in its tenth year, Florida Supercon, South Florida’s largest comic convention and pop culture event, returns to Miami Beach from June 25-28, 2015 to fill fans’ love for comic books, anime, animation, video game, fantasy, Sci-Fi and pop culture genres. This 4-day event has something for everyone, from celebrity guests, comic book creators, voice actors, industry guests, panels, Q&A’s, films & shorts, costume and cosplay contests, vendors, parties, workshops, video gaming, children’s events and more.
Celebrities, Voice Actors & Comic Guests
Florida Supercon will host many opportunities for fans to see their favorite celebrities, voice actors and comic book industry guests, with a full agenda of panels, Q&A’s, photo opportunities, and more.
Attendees can meet their favorite actors from comic and pop culture movies and TV shows such as:
Joey Lauren Adams, Jason Mewes, Brian O’Halloran and Marilyn Ghigliotti, the stars of Clerks, Chasing Amy, Mallrats, Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back, Clerks 2, Clerks: The Animated Series, and Dogma;
Billie Piper, Eric Roberts and Simon Fisher-Becker from Doctor Who;
Brett Dalton, Maximilian Hernandez and Eddie McClintock from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.;

Children’s characters and cartoon voice actors will include celebrities from Frozen, Adventure Time, Sailor Moon, Tiny Toons Adventures, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Spongebob Squarepants, Super Mario Bros., Power Rangers, Dragon Ball Z, Ouran High School, and Attack on Titan, among others.
Florida Supercon will also feature legendary comic book artists, writers, publishers and industry professionals from Marvel Comics, DC Comics, Valiant Comics and others, such as Jim Shooter, Bill Jemas, Neal Adams, Allen Bellman, John Ramita, Jr., Ivan Reis, Frank Quitely, Jeff Dekal, and more.
Cosplay and Costume Events and Competitions
Florida Supercon has the largest cosplay and costuming events of any convention in the state of Florida, with non-stop panels, workshops, contests and photo shoots for 4 days straight.
FSC Kids Costume Competition takes place Friday, June 26 at 4:00 p.m. and Sunday, June 28 at 1:00 p.m. Open to all ages 13 and under, this contest will be “runway†style. There will be no pre-judging. Contestants can enter in store-bought or homemade costumes. Awards will be given for the following categories: Best in Show, Best Individual (under 9 years old), Best Individual (9 – 13 years old), Best Comic Book Character, Best Video Game Character, Best Cartoon Character, and Best Group.
FSC Costume Competition held Saturday, June 27 at 8:30 p.m. is the most competitive costuming event in Florida with over $5,000 in cash and prizes available, including a $1,500 cash grand prize and lifetime pass to all Supercon events ($500 value) for ‘Best in Show’. The contest is open to all skill levels to ensure both novice and experienced costumers have a chance to shine. The divisions include: Master, Journeyman, Novice and Junior/Youth.
FSC Masquerade Costume and Performance Competition will be held Sunday, June 28 at 5:00 p.m. With over $2,000 in cash and prizes, contestants can enter as individuals or as a group and will be judged based on costume craftsmanship and stage performance. More than just a cosplay contest, this is a talent competition with performances by individuals and groups portraying their favorite characters. The divisions include: Master, Journeyman, Novice and Junior/Youth.
Gaming and Tournaments
Supercon Gaming will bring the best selection of games found in South Florida. With current and last-gen systems for tournament and free play including: Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Wii U, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 and a large selection of classic/vintage consoles including: NES, Sega Genesis, Super Nintendo, N64, Dreamcast, Gamecube and more. An Oculus Rift virtual reality headset will also be on hand for a 3D gaming experience.
Tournaments will be held throughout all three days of the show as well as free-play on many of the favorite AAA games for all ages including Borderlands 2, Mario Kart 8, Super Mario 3D World, Rock Band, Guitar Hero, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Halo, Battlefield 4, Call of Duty, Super Street Fighter IV, Dance Central Spotlight, Forza, PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale, and The Last of Us, and more. There will also be a selection of some of the favorite indies, such as Skullgirls, Sportsfriends, Super Meat Boy, Dungeon Defenders, Amnesia, and Guacamelee.
Super Geek Film Festival
The convention will host Super Geek Film Festival from June 25-28, 2015, and is dedicated to presenting geek interest films of all types, ranging from documentary, narrative, animation, experimental and fan films. Fans will be able to enjoy films from a variety of genres from geek culture, comics, gaming, animation, anime, manga, science fiction, fantasy, RPG, robotics, technology, and more. Films will be presented from all kinds of filmmakers, including professional, amateur and students from high school and college.
