Celebrate Bastille Day on Tuesday, July 14th at Bistro Cassis – Midtown’s neighborhood Parisian café – with a one-night-only special menu filled with traditional French favorites. The indulgent three-course prix-fixe menu is priced at $39 per person and will be available during dinner service from 5PM to closing, along with the restaurant’s regular dinner menu.
Offering guests a three-course gastronomic tour de France, featuring their choice of hors d’oeuvre, entrée and dessert, the menu will also include a complimentary glass of champagne for expats and French food lovers alike to toast the holiday with.
Diners can begin their festive evening with Steak Tartare – traditional chopped filet mignon beef tartare; Soupe a L’Oignon Gratinée – onion soup with crouton and cheese gratin; or Salade Chevre – crispy goat cheese, roasted beets, lavender honey dressing, candied walnuts and mixed greens. Next they can relish in delectable entrée selections such as Poulet Alsacienne – roasted chicken breast, smoked bacon, kale, homemade spaetzli and a shallot cream sauce; Saumon Rôti aux Agrumes – roasted salmon, vegetable quinoa, French beans with a citrus sauce and Boeuf Bourguignon – braised beef, root vegetables, tagliatelle pasta and red wine sauce. Guests can then finish off their meal with Bistro Cassis’ decadent Gâteau Opéra an Almond sponge cake, soaked in coffee syrup and layered with chocolate ganache or Crepes Suzette – French pancakes, Grand Marnier sauce, served with vanilla bean ice cream.
