Miami-Dade Economic Advocacy Trust (MDEAT) cordially invites the community to attend the 2015 MDEAT Economic Summit where community leaders and residents will examine new ideas, develop strategies, and shape an equity agenda for Miami-Dade County to transform the economic condition of the Targeted Urban Areas (TUAs).
Topics of discussion include best practices in juvenile justice; advancements in homeownership; success strategies in small business development; and overview of economic development initiatives in the TUAs. Break-out sessions with local leaders and residents regarding concerns in the areas of economic development, housing, and youth development will be held.
Guest speakers are President and Chief Executive Officer of the Urban League of Greater Miami, Inc., T. Willard Fair, and Luther Campbell, entrepreneur, record label owner, producer, author, and rap singer. Attendees will be able to purchase a copy of Campbell’s new best-selling book on Amazon titled The Book of Luke: My Fight for Truth, Justice, and Liberty City at the book-signing session.
Free parking available at 500 NE 2 Avenue. Please advise garage staff of your attendance at event. Continental breakfast and lunch will be available.
