The Links, Incorporated, Greater Miami Chapter will celebrate a legacy of friendship and service in the Greater Miami community and beyond as it commemorates its 60th anniversary. Special guests include civil rights activist and former United States Ambassador to the United Nations, the Honorable Andrew J. Young; and Glenda Newell-Harris, M.D., National President of The Links, Incorporated. The event will feature the release of the second volume of the Chapter’s groundbreaking 2010 publication ‘Linkages and Legacies’, which chronicled the contributions of 50 notable pioneers of African descent throughout Miami- Dade County. Proceeds from the event will be used to provide scholarships, and to support educational, civic and inter-cultural programming initiatives.
