OneUnited Bank, the nation’s largest black-owned bank, presents “Let the Mural Speak: A Spoken Word Experience,” on Thursday, December 3, 2015, 6:30 p.m. – 11 p.m., at the Miami Branch of OneUnited Bank (3275 NW 79th St, Miami, FL 33147). In conjunction with Miami’s popular attraction Art Basel, this experience is a continuing celebration of the 550-square foot nationally news covered, thought-provoking mural “Thunder & Enlightening” painted by Miami Muralist Addonis Parker on the façade of OneUnited Bank’s Miami branch. This free experience will feature some of South Florida’s esteemed poets giving a voice to the art, in addition to, Addonis unveiling a trilogy entitled “Lady Liberty,” another continuing piece inspired by the mural.
