Miami International University of Art and Design Presents #RetoMestizo2016, the first Latin American photography contest curated by Marco Caridad, former Masters Program student of MIU in partnership with the philanthropists Alexander Gonzalez, Daniela Picado and Santiago Klein. The event aims to elevate the stereotypical image of Latinos in The United States of America.

“I have made it my mission to empower Latino’s culture through this award exhibition designed to foster acceptance of diversity. The exhibition will feature 100+ images of the best photographers in LATAM.” – Marco Caridad

During the gala, the attendees will have the opportunity to vote for the best photography of the night out of the five favorites of the judging panel, which will be awarded USD 500.
