Miami Music Festival, an intensive training program for the next generation of classical musicians to work with mentors and gain performing experience, announces the lineup for the 2017 season from June 6 through July 30, 2017. From the simple sound of a folk tune played on a single instrument, to orchestral music on a cosmic scale, the symphonies of Gustav Mahler express a universe of symphonic color and possibility. For the first time at the Miami Music Festival, Mahler’s epic Symphony No. 1, The Titan, fills Broad Auditorium, under the leadership of guest conductor David Effron. The cinematic Le Corsaire Overture by Hector Berlioz completes a grand orchestral journey not to be missed.
