Pablo Cartaya is an accomplished author, his book “The Epic Fail of Arturo Zamora” was named one of the the best books of the month, by Amazon and Barnes and Nobles,
and one of the “50 Most Brilliant Books of Summer” by Scholastic Library.
Pablo will share with us:
The benefits of infusing dialects and other languages while writing in English.
With focus on how a multilingual approach expands the potential of a story.
He will also show how multiple languages are effectively incorporated in writing.
Come prepared to participate in writing prompts, text examples and detailed discussions.
Pablo has been a guest speaker at Florida International University’s, Exile Program, University of Miami’s Lowe Museum and has visited schools throughout the United States.
He currently serves as lead faculty at Sierra Nevada College’s low residency MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults.
Pablo hosts Escribe Aqui, an Ibero American writers program at the Betsy Hotel on Miami Beach.
