Developer NR Investments (NRI) and the Urban Land Institute Southeast Florida / Caribbean Young Leaders Group will co-host an event on the role of Miami’s Arts + Entertainment District in downtown Miami’s ongoing urban revitalization.
Panelists include NRI’s Nir Shoshani, founder of the Arts + Entertainment District and one of its most prolific developers; Richard Florida, founder of the Creative Class Group, best-selling author and leader of the Miami Urban Future Initiative; Alyce Robertson, Executive Director, Miami Downtown Development Authority; and Laura Bruney, President and CEO of the Arts & Business Council of Miami. These panelists will discuss the opportunities/challenges downtown Miami faces amongst the continued redevelopment and resurgence, with a special focus on the Arts + Entertainment District and inclusive prosperity. Kate Stein, a WLRN environment and transportation reporter, will moderate the conversation, which will touch on public transit, availability of housing, the role of the arts in Miami’s economy, attracting/retaining talent/workforce, and sustainable urban planning unique to Miami.
