Sereia Films, a local documentary film production company, has partnered with Floyd Miami to host their first ever fundraising event, Dance for the Fish.
The fundraiser event will serve as the official launch party for Sereia Films newest web series documentary, Eating Out: The Hunt for Sustainable Seafood. The docuseries will give viewers an in-depth look accessing the sustainability of certain dishes at popular Miami restaurants. Each web short will feature a different co-host in the sustainable seafood industry including University of Miami researcher and U.S. champion free-diver, Dr. Claire Beatrix Paris and sustainable seafood author Paul Greenberg. All ticket sales proceeds will be donated to the Sereia Films production fund.
In addition, the Dance for the Fish event will feature a live performance by the official Kukuwa Fitness dancers and a special presentation from the Making Moves Universal program founded by Dr. Niraj Mehta, a program that uses dance as a form of coping treatment for cancer and other various illnesses. All guests will receive a complimentary cocktail upon arrival courtesy of New Amsterdamn Vodka plus an exclusive late night happy hour proced cocktail menu will be offered and music will be provided by DJ Carter Jackson-Brown. Videos produced by Sereia Films showcasing various Florida ecosystems will be showing throughout the evening
