The Black Archives Miami will share tips and tricks on starting your family archive, completing research at the Archives and building a strong repository to pass on for generations. Black Archives archivist, Jocelyn Hurtado, will lead a workshop on how to use the Archives and other databases to conduct genealogical and historical research. Join MOCA for a short presentation on the collections housed at the Black Archives and how to access them for your own archival interests. Bring your questions and family information (names, dates of birth, place of birth, etc.) to learn how to begin to research and archive your family history.
