The Miss African Roots USA Cultural Pageant is a local event that has attracted nearly 1,000 attendees to the South Florida area.

The Miss African Roots USA organization aims to forge a sense of community, confidence, and pride for the motherland of Africa within the United States. The unique, bi-annual pageant competition sets out to showcase the best African-inspired entertainment while highlighting intellect, poise, style, and cultural awareness among eligible young women representing various countries within the African Diaspora.

Winning prizes include a pre-owned car and the opportunity to participate in active charity work in the African country of choice.

With this, they will be able to understand and better appreciate their roots in Africa. The event will also feature live entertainment and culturally-inspired performances that reflect the African culture and heritage.
