In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Miami Design District is proud to host the fourth annual Fashion Strikes Cancer benefit to support breast cancer research. Founded and hosted by fashion visionary, stylist and breast cancer survivor, Angeles Almuna, the event was created to commemorate her battle with cancer and to give hope to all those who are suffering, suffered, or have lost a loved one to cancer. This year’s ticketed event will honor Breast Cancer Research Foundation Co-Chair Kinga Lampert.
Kinga studied in Paris where she graduated from the University Paris X Nanterre with a Master’s in Business Law and moved to the United States to work as a corporate attorney at the law firm Dechert Price and Rhoads in New York. Today, Kinga dedicates a great amount of her time to her philanthropies that range from the arts to health with a heavy focus on breast cancer research as the cause is dear to her heart. In 2012, Kinga moved to Miami and joined the Board of Governors of the Sylvester Cancer Center at the University of Miami. Kinga Lampert serves on the Board of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation and has also supported the Breast Cancer Alliance, the Alliance for Cancer Gene Therapy, Delete Blood Cancer and the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory. The Breast Cancer Research Foundation, the highest rated breast cancer organization in the U.S., is dedicated to ending breast cancer by funding investigators who have been deeply involved in every major breakthrough in breast cancer prevention, diagnosis, treatment and survival.
Guests in attendance will get the chance to learn more about the Breast Cancer Research Foundation as well as enjoy a performance by Manu Manzo and entertainment from DJ Michelle Leshem.
