The Basel House Mural Festival is a premier Miami Art Week destination where street art, eclectic music, innovative vendors and new-age art installations come together to create an unparalleled experience. Located in the center of Miami’s Wynwood Arts District, Basel House features eye-catching art that will expand your creative horizons and light up the night. This free event will also offer live painting, band performances provided by Ford, late-night DJs, mural tours, workshops, an art & lifestyle vendor marketplace, craft cocktails and premier food trucks.
Art lovers will have the opportunity to view large-scale murals by top street artists from across the globe, local creatives paint live and, once the sun sets, the Miami Projection Mapped Mural Experience will create a new reality as the walls come to life with digital projections. Attendees can even take advantage of the intimate live painting sessions to get to know the display artists and their work.
Foodies and hungry festival goers alike are encouraged to visit the Basel House Cantina, where vibrant pennant flags and the aroma of food vendors will transport you to a slice of Mexico. Presented by Modelo Especial and Tequila Mi CAMPO, enjoy drink specials all weekend long (along with a taco or two!).
Other beverage offerings include craft cocktails at the Wheatley Vodka container bar, featuring their own projection art mural display where five local artists will decorate a single letter of the word “Miami,” and wine selections at the Cooper & Thief Speakeasy, an intimate lounge where attendees enter through a hidden entrance… here’s a hint: it’s a bus!
As if that’s not enough, South Florida Ford & Miami Dolphins welcome all to their Blue Lounge which will have vehicle displays and a brand-inspired mural. The Miami Dolphins cheerleaders will also be present, bringing featured bands from Sunfest. For those looking for some excitement, the Monster Compound will feature the Basel House Main Stage with guest DJ Statik Selekt, performances by a BMX Vert Team, mural by RISK, breakdancers and more! Need tips on how to capture all the fun on camera? The Fuji Film truck will guide you on how to take the perfect polaroid selfie.
