Goodman Jewish Family Services (JFS) of Broward County will host the 13th Annual Breaking the Silence Soiree to benefit the JFS domestic abuse program.

Journalist, author, and domestic violence advocate Rachel Louise Snyder will serve as keynote speaker. Praised by The New Yorker as a “writer of uncommon talent and confidence,” Snyder is the author of No Visible Bruises: What We Don’t Know About Domestic Violence Can Kill Us. Critically acclaimed for its authentic portrayal of intimate abuse, the book connects America’s most pressing social crises— mass shootings, incarceration, and #MeToo—using the stories of victims, perpetrators, law enforcement, and reform movements from across the country.
