Our first Pop Up Art Gallery event is scheduled the month of Yaya’s birthday in memory of her life and art. Over 20 local South Florida artists in recovery, allies of the movement, families suffering the plight of substance use disorder and families of loss will be displaying as well as auctioning their work for our cause. Close to 10 artistically inclined women from Jessie Trice Jefferson Reaves House will be sharing their work of art for the first time in a dedicated art gallery setting as part of local artist Javier Cuarezma’s 5 month art sessions curated by Yaya por Vida Foundation. The theme will be Dia de los Muertos, Reincarnation and Rebirth; all styles/motifs reflected in Yaya’s legacy in the arts. Pieces created by Yaya in her lifetime will also be on display in celebration of her life.
Artists have submitted their best work to auction or sell through on site silent auction, and live online auction . We will also be hosting live Narcan training/distribution as part of our community harm reduction program. Live Music by DJ Simdica and Eric Guitian from Mind&Melody will be part of our event along with Live Slam Poetry by Fred DiMarco & Susana Navajas from Save the Sharks.
Proceeds will go to the following:
Reaves House to further aid in the continuous upkeep of art programs and all relative activities Yaya por Vida will help to create and sponsor (inpatient and outpatient). Complimenting said activities as a tool of healing along with Reaves’ wraparound treatment plan will promote successful treatment completion as well as successful, sober living.
Yaya por Vida Foundation will be provide to the local community for those seeking overdose prevention tools, substance use recovery, in treatment, in active recovery, families dealing with a struggling loved one or those that have suffered the loss of a loved one due to substance abuse to find healthy, positive outlets of expressions in the arts with cultural competency in mind.

Nuestro primera exhibicion de arte está programada para el mes del cumpleaños de Yaya en memoria de su vida y arte. Más de 20 artistas locales del sur de la Florida en recuperación, aliados del movimiento, familias que sufren la difícil situación del trastorno por uso de sustancias y familias en duelo, exhibirán y subastarán sus obras para nuestra causa. Cerca de 10 mujeres con inclinaciones artísticas de Jessie Trice Jefferson Reaves House compartirán sus obra de arte por primera vez en una galería de arte gracias a las sesiones de arte regido por artista local Javier Cuarezma y fundada por Yaya por Vida Foundation. El tema será Día de los Muertos, Reencarnación y Renacimiento; todos los estilos / motivos reflejados en el legado de arte de Yaya. Las piezas creadas por Yaya también se exhibirán en celebración de su vida.
Los artistas han enviado su mejor trabajo para subasta o venta mediante subasta silenciosa en el sitio y subasta via redes sociales en vivo. También organizaremos entrenamiento y distribuccion de Narcan en vivo como parte de nuestro programa comunitario de reducción de daños. Música en vivo de DJ Simdica y Eric Guitian de Mind & Melody será parte de nuestro evento junto con Live Slam Poetry de Fred DiMarco y Susana Navajas de Save the Sharks.
Los ingresos se destinarán a lo siguiente:
Reaves House para ayudar aún más en el mantenimiento continuo de los programas de arte y todas las actividades relativas que Yaya por Vida ayudará a crear y patrocinar (pacientes hospitalizados y ambulatorios). Complementara dichas actividades como una herramienta de curación junto con el plan de tratamiento integral de Reaves promoverá la finalización exitosa del tratamiento, así como una vida exitosa y sobria.
La Fundación Yaya por Vida se proporcionará a la comunidad local para aquellos que buscan herramientas de prevención de sobredosis, recuperación del uso de sustancias, en tratamiento, en recuperación activa, familias que lidian con un ser querido que lucha o aquellos que han sufrido la pérdida de un ser querido debido a mal-uso de sustancias para encontrar salidas saludables y positivas de expresiones en las artes teniendo en cuenta la competencia cultural.
