In honor of World Ocean Day 2022, Blue Scholars Initiative and ARTSail present the second Annual World Ocean Weekend Celebration on June 11th and 12th at the newly renovated W South Beach. Designed to raise awareness on ocean conservation, the weekend program includes a fitness class on the sand, beach clean-up, art installations, inspiring conversations and films organized in collaboration with the SF-based International Ocean Film Festival. The weekend kicks off Saturday morning, June 11, with fitness activities, including an ocean mile swim, yoga, Pilates and a paddle-out followed by a beach clean-up and special remarks by The City of Miami Beach Mayor, Dan Gelber. The sands will also be lined with an impressive art installation by revered artists paying tribute to the environment and our world ocean.
