Dadeland Mall kicks off the holiday season with the 2nd Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony, 1st snowfall of the season and The Salvation Army of Miami-Dade Red Kettle Kick-Off!
Ring in the season at Dadeland Mall’s Tree Lighting Ceremony on Thursday, November 17 from 6PM-8PM in the Fashion Wing near Tesla. The Tree Lighting celebration will include an array of family-friendly entertainment, with bites, holiday treats, arts & crafts, characters, and The Salvation Army brass band festive performance & Red Kettle Kickoff. The 1st 100 children in line will receive a holiday gift bag! PLUS enjoy the first Nightly Snowfall of the season. Event will be emceed by CBS 4 Miami anchor Lauren Pastrana. TREE LIGHTING SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:
HOLIDAY GIFT BAG GIVEAWAY – starting at 6:00PM – Check-in at Simon table in Fashion Wing, 1st level. The first 100 children in line will receive Dadeland Mall goodie bags filled with retailer surprises.
FESTIVITIES – 6:00 – 8:00 PM Fashion Wing near Tesla. Enjoy bites with Shake Shack, cookies, a Lego mini build, Nespresso coffee, refreshments, activities with Lush, holiday arts & crafts, and characters, as we host a festive atmosphere just for kids! Plus, The Salvation Army’s bell-ringing season will begin with the Red Kettle Kick-Off.
STAGE ENTERTAINMENT 6:00 – 8:00 PM Fashion Wing near Tesla. Festive show by The Salvation Army brass band as they perform popular holiday carols.
7:00 – 7:30 PM – Tree Lighting Countdown begins! Get ready for Santa to flip the switch to light the holiday tree and kick off the 1st snowfall of the season. Come experience all the fun.

Before the Tree Lighting Ceremony starts at 6PM – Santa invites everyone to visit the Santa set in Center Court in their holiday best to make magical memories with your family and have photos taken with Santa (photo packages available for purchase). You can also reserve your spot for Santa photos before the event starts! Children and their families can experience the joy and magic of the holiday season with a visit to the Simon® Santa Photo Experience at Dadeland Mall beginning November 17th through December 24th in Center Court.
